Terms of service

Last updated: May 2026

Plain-English summary

Use Deklarative to build software. Don't break the law with it. Pay your invoice on time. The OSS source is Apache 2.0; the Cloud service is what these terms cover.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Cloud account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. The service

Deklarative provides a low-code platform with workflow and infrastructure automation. Cloud is the hosted version; OSS is the self-hosted version under Apache 2.0. The service is documented at docs.deklarative.com.

3. Open source

Deklarative core is licensed under Apache 2.0. You may fork, modify, and redistribute the OSS source under that license. Cloud-only features (managed runners, hosted Studio, SSO, audit log export) are not part of the OSS distribution.

4. Acceptable use

  • No illegal activity, fraud, or harassment.
  • No reselling Cloud or hosting it for third parties.
  • No bypassing rate limits or attempting to access tenants other than your own.

5. Fees

Subscription fees are as published at /pricing. Annual contracts auto-renew unless either party gives 30 days' written notice.

6. Data & privacy

Your data is yours. Our processing of it is described in the privacy notice and the DPA.

7. Warranty disclaimer

Beyond any SLAs in your order form, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim under these terms is capped at fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate for material uncured breach. On termination, you can export your manifests and generated code for 30 days; after that, we delete them. Nothing in the OSS source is affected.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, except where local consumer-protection law overrides.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email at least 30 days in advance.
