Pricing
Most low-code platforms charge per workflow run, per app, per developer, or all three. Deklarative charges per cluster — and not at all if you self-host.
Self-hosted, open source, production OK.
Hosted Studio for small teams.
Production teams shipping multiple apps.
Regulated, sovereign, or large-scale deployments.
No usage-based workflow billing. Run a million BPMN processes; we don't care. Pay for the platform, not the events.
| Retool Business (per-user) | $28–48k |
| Temporal Cloud (per-action) | $24–60k |
| Pulumi Team / Enterprise | $15–40k |
| RDS / queue / glue infra | $10–30k |
| Internal CRUD / form work | $80–160k |
| Stack subtotal | ≈ $157–338k |
| Deklarative Cloud Growth | $5.9k |
Yes. Our own products (Argitron, VoxRidge, SwiftCrane, Billitron, DwellPort) run on the same code path. No artificial limits in OSS — feature parity with Cloud Growth at the platform layer.
OSS = you operate it. Cloud = we operate it. Same code. Cloud adds managed runners, hosted Studio, SSO/SCIM, audit log, and an SLA.
Absolutely. The workflow engine is the same binary in OSS and Cloud — runs on your Kubernetes / Nomad / VMs / bare metal. Workers run wherever the activities need to run.
Because per-action pricing is the #1 reason teams abandon Temporal Cloud and similar platforms when they scale. We charge per cluster — predictable, bounded, doesn't punish growth.
Yes. Activities are pluggable. Bring Claude, GPT, Gemini, your own. Bring NATS, Kafka, Redis. Bring Postgres, MySQL, anything-Postgres-compatible.
Eject. The generated code is yours under Apache 2.0. Take it, fork it, run it without Studio. The escape hatch is real.
